Our story
Our story
Hear & Co was founded by two audiologists who have spent years working in hearing clinics across southern Ontario. In that time they have seen what serves people well and what does not, and they set out to build Hear & Co to provide excellence to everyone.
The result is a clinic that is independent, so every recommendation is made on merit rather than to meet a manufacturer's target. Hearing tests are complimentary for anyone 55 and over, because the test is the step most people put off, often for years. Wax removal, hearing aids, custom earplugs and employment hearing tests are all under one roof, so nobody is sent elsewhere for something we can do here. And every appointment leaves enough time to explain what we found, in plain language, with your results on the screen in front of you. At Hear & Co, we put service first, and we make sure you feel it.
Our team
Our team
Hear & Co is staffed by expert hearing instrument specialists, hearing care professionals trained to assess hearing and to select, fit, program and service hearing aids.
Mackenzie Walsh, Hearing Instrument Specialist
Mackenzie is the specialist you will see at the clinic. She is a certified hearing instrument specialist and a member of the Association of Hearing Instrument Practitioners of Ontario (AHIP). In her own words:
With over three years of experience as a Hearing Instrument Specialist, I am passionate about helping people hear more clearly and reconnect with the sounds and moments that make life meaningful. I enjoy getting to know each client personally and take pride in creating a comfortable, positive experience throughout their hearing journey.
When I'm not at work, you can usually find me at the gym weightlifting, at the record shop looking for the next record to add to my vinyl collection, and most importantly spending time with my family and dog.
Our mission
Our mission
To make exceptional hearing care easy to access: honest advice, fair prices, complimentary hearing tests for anyone 55 and over. Our specialists take the time to explain what they find and what your options are, and they are also available to you at any time for any questions that come up, during or after your appointment.
Our vision
Our vision
A network of independent hearing clinics across Ontario where people are treated like neighbours, and where better hearing leads to better living.
What makes us different
What makes Hear & Co different
Modern
Modern, to us, is as much about how you are treated as what we test with. Booking is online, appointments start on time, and your results are explained on a screen in front of you rather than posted to you later. The hearing aids we fit are the latest technology from six manufacturers, and three years of follow-up care come with them.
Independent
We are not owned by a hearing aid manufacturer and we do not have a house brand. We fit six leading brands and recommend what suits you.
Comprehensive
Hearing tests, wax removal, hearing aids and demos, custom earplugs and employment testing are all done here, in one clinic. If we can do it ourselves, you are never referred elsewhere for it. We have you covered.
Inside the clinic
Inside the clinic
Our clinic was built and fitted with a sound-treated test booth, modern testing equipment, a comfortable fitting room and a bright reception area. There is free parking at the door and a step-free entrance at ground level.
