Our commitment

Hear & Co, in Ancaster, Hamilton, is committed to providing hearing care and information in a way that respects the dignity and independence of people with disabilities. We are committed to meeting the accessibility needs of people with disabilities in a timely manner, and we meet the accessibility requirements that apply to us.

Our clinic

Our clinic at 7-1100 Golf Links Road, Ancaster is at ground level with a step-free entrance and free parking at the door. Service animals are welcome. Support persons are welcome to accompany you at every appointment at no charge. If you need an appointment arranged in a particular way, for example extra time, written summaries, or communication through a family member, tell us when you book and we will accommodate it.

Communication

We communicate with people with disabilities in ways that take their disability into account. Because our work is hearing, we are used to communicating clearly with people who hear little or nothing: we face you when we speak, we write things down, and we provide written summaries of your results and recommendations.

Our website

We aim for this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA. The site is built with clear headings, readable text that can be resized, sufficient colour contrast, keyboard navigation, descriptive link text and alternative text on images. If you find a part of the site that is difficult to use, please tell us so we can fix it.

Feedback

We welcome feedback on how we provide services to people with disabilities. Contact us by phone at 289-246-8005, by email at info@hearco.ca, in person at the clinic, or by mail at 7-1100 Golf Links Road, Ancaster (Hamilton), ON L9K 1J8. We will respond within ten business days. Feedback can be given in a format that suits you, and we will provide our response in an accessible format on request.

Notice of temporary disruption

If an accessibility feature at the clinic is temporarily unavailable, for example the accessible washroom or the entrance, we will post a notice at the clinic and on this website with the reason, the expected duration, and any alternative available.
